Wow! What a busy couple of weeks! Things are going well here, but they are certainly putting us to work. This post will be mostly photos, so you can see what I've been seeing the past few weeks.
On Friday, we visited the Kremlin. The Kremlin is the political and historical center of Moscow. It is where the Russian President works with other government officials. It includes a palace, churches, museums and art galleries. It is a basically a walled fortress within the city. The site where Kremlin stands has been occupied for hundreds of years. For example, the walls that surround the Kremlin were built between 1485 and 1495. Pretty amazing, right? I included a picture of Russian soldiers inside the Kremlin, a picture of the incredible paintings inside one of the cathedrals, and a picture of me with a friend in the courtyard.

Next up, we've got pictures of Zirex enjoying Moscow life. They have these beautiful hanging flower baskets all over the city, and I love how much they make things feel like summer. We took Zirex to the famous Tretyakov Gallery, which is the main art gallery in Moscow. It is amazing! Room after room of the most incredible art you've ever seen. Next, we brought him along to the sculpture park, where he met a mythical creature and a couple of former leaders of the Soviet Union, Lenin and Stalin. He's certainly making the most of his time in Moscow so far :)
The rest are just pictures of daily life around Moscow. Fancy cars (as promised), delicious food, and scenes from the city. One photo shows the inside of one of Moscow's gorgeous metro stations. The other shows an old school bus that sells nothing but children's books. I was in heaven! They even have The Giving Tree in Russian, so I can read aloud and probably start crying in TWO languages :)
Please leave some comments to let me know how your summers are going and if there is anything else you'd like to see photos of. Sending lots of warm thoughts your way from Moscow!
Until next time,
Ms. Hagen
