We have been so busy with our Russian classes. Today we even had a lesson in Russian dance, which was absolutely hilarious. Picture a bunch of Americans who don't know each other well and are not allowed to speak English trying to learn a traditional Russian folk dance. It was pretty funny. You all know how much I love to dance, so I was quite happy. I should have shown them the Whip Nae Nae!
Today my friend and I visited Park Pobedii, which is a memorial for WWII (Daniel!). They did have an amazing playground there though that I made sure to take Zirex to on your behalf. I also took a few photos of the war memorials, which are absolutely HUGE and very imposing. Some of our history buffs in the class will appreciate those.
In other news, I am living with a really kind family. It is a mother and son who are both doctors. They are very funny and sweet, and their apartment is in a wonderful area of the city. I have been taking the metro (subway) around every day. It is quite far underground and the escalators are the longest I have ever seen! I took a photo on one. I am not sure if the picture will quite do it justice, but you get the idea. They are seriously long! All the people that want to stand and let it move them move the the right. The people who want to hurry up or down use the left hand side. Trying to go down one of them quickly makes you reaaaallly dizzy. I don't recommend it. Anyway, I will keep posting pictures. Please keep emailing and commenting, because I love it! Have a wonderful last day at school and make sure to give Ms. Cooper a big hug for me to thank her for being so kind to you.
Do skorovo!
